Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that an Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Triathlon Association will take place on Saturday, 9 January 2010 at the school hall, Diocesan Boys’ School, 131 Argyle Street, Mongkok, Kowloon at 3:30 pm to transact the following business:

1.     To receive the President’s report;

2.     To receive the Treasurer’s report;

3.     To consider and approve the audited financial statements of the Association and the reports of the Executive Committee and the independent auditors for the year ended 31 March, 2009;

4.     To elect members to # Executive Committee; and

5.     To re-appoint auditors, Special Notice has been given pursuant to sections 116C and 132 of the Companies Ordinance of the intention to propose the following resolution as an Ordinary Resolution:

“that Y.L. Ngan & Company CPA, the retiring auditors, who were appointed by the Executive Committee of the Company on 25 May 2009 to fill the casual vacancy created by the resignation of Wong Lam Leung & Kwok CPA Limited be reappointed auditors of the company until the next annual general meeting and to authorize the Executive Committee to fix their remuneration.

#  According to Articles of our association, the following members will retire by rotation and, being eligible, may stand for re-election: Philip Peñaloza (Vice President); Timothy Hallworth (Hon. Secretary); Armando Osmani (Member) and Derek Wong (Member)

       Nominations for these positions are now invited. Nomination form can either be downloaded from our website (www.triathlon.com.hk) or asked for a fax copy upon a formal request to the office at 2504 8282.  Please bring along your HKID card for voting.

Please note that the AGM will be followed by the Annual Awards Ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend the Awards.
