Hong Kong Triathlon Association will select 12 kids (6 boys and 6 girls) to compete and participate in the World Kids' Triathlon Competition and World Kids' Sports Summit from 19 to 24 August 2009. Except for airfare which is at the own expense of each kid, the entry fees plus all costs in Japan including accommodations, meals and transfers to and from Narita airport will be borne by the Yokohama International Triathlon Organizing Committee.

The Hong Kong Kids representatives had outstanding performances and captured 2 GOLDs, 3 SILVERs and 2 BRONZEs in 24 August 2009 World Kids Triathlon Competition held in Yokohama, Japan.
The 12 kids Hong Kong Team took part in the kids event in a distance of 150m swim, 10km bike and 2km run. Major achievements as follow:

Naomi WAI - Champion, Girls' 15
Perry WONG - 2nd, Boys' 15
Hilda CHOI - 2nd, Girls' 15
